About Michael

Michael Dennis is a speaker and pastor based in Austin who helps people navigate pressure, communication, and relationships with greater clarity and confidence.

For more than 20 years, Michael has led teams, counseled individuals and families, and walked people through moments of tension, transition, burnout, grief, and uncertainty. Along the way, he discovered something most people experience but rarely talk about:

Pressure quietly changes behavior.

Under pressure, communication breaks down. People become defensive, reactive, controlling, withdrawn, or overwhelmed. Conversations get harder. Trust erodes. Teams lose clarity. Relationships drift.

Michael’s work focuses on helping people recognize pressure before pressure starts driving behavior. What makes his approach unique is the combination of two worlds that rarely overlap: real life leadership experience as a pastor and the observational awareness developed through stand up comedy.

His speaking style is practical, conversational, honest, and engaging. Rather than offering abstract motivation, Michael gives audiences simple frameworks that help them identify:
• What’s theirs to carry
• What’s not
• How to move forward

Organizations and audiences walk away:
• Naming the tension (Personally)
• Acknowledging the tension (Organizationally)
• Shared language to reduce pressure
